This book has been framed to provide the principles for environmental and growth factors, seedling and graft production, nutrient and water management, organic and protected farming, crop protection, post-harvest management and marketing of vegetable crops. Every production aspect of 42 major and minor vegetable crops grown in the tropical and subtropical regions along with information regarding origin and taxonomy, importance and uses, botany, nutritional and medicinal values, plant protection measures and post-harvest management have been provided. The author’s long and rich experience acquired through teaching and research on different aspects of vegetable science in the State Agricultural University was put to structure this book.
